Upcoming Partnership and 21st Century Enrichment Grant Events

Our passion for children does not stop when the school day ends, but extends into the nontraditional learning environment. Through a collaborative partnership Hot Spots, School Day educators and Community Leaders extend children’s learning experience outside of the “typical school day hours!” Learning changes a child’s life offering opportunity, imagination and a dream.

Mechanicsville STEM Experience

STEM Night provides students and parents the opportunity to apply the engineer and design process, and explore the concepts of recycling and environmental care. These concepts are reinforced through hands-on learning experiences that engage the minds of both students and parents!

Hickory STEAM Night

Families will come together for a STEAM Night to engage in various STEAM activities. HSECP students will host a steel drum and musical instrument performance with Young Audiences.

May 16, 2017

Woodbridge STEM Night

Our STEM Night will be lead by HSECP educators and the Woodbridge STEM Committee. Families will join us to participate in four STEM activies.

May 23, 2017

Middleborough STEM Night

Our third STEM Night will be an experience for ALL ages. Families will come together to build, create, and problem-solve!

21st Century Enrichment Grant

Hot Spots Extended Care Program has partnered with The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools to launch for the first time during this school year 21st Century Enrichment Grants to BCPS elementary schools to fund innovative projects not funded in the school budget.
